The Board of Forestry has narrowed their search for a State Forester down to three names,Cal Mukumoto, Teri O’Rourke, and Jim Paul. Their applications can be found at the links on their names.
The BOF is holding a special meeting at 9:00 on October 29, 2021. All BOF meetings can be streamed on the Department of Forestry’s YouTube channel. The BOF held a preliminary public meeting for the three candidates on October 20th where they answered questions from six public participants. Surprisingly, none of the three mentioned righting the Department of Forestry from their difficulties with Fire Costs accounting that ultimately led to the dismissal of previous State Forester Peter Daughter.
