My reasons involve my father. He had some concern in the matter. He did not work for the contractor nor was he BLM or Forestry. He was a Federal employee and knew the situation well enough to be called as a witness in the trials. I am not aware that it was absolutely established that the fire was started by the "roller" I have watched rollers operate many times over the coarse of my youth. I do not remember ever seeing one "throw off sparks" However, it was apparently established that some piece of equipment OR some careless smoker on the job site started that fire. I assume that John Perry is either extremely elderly or has died. So I am hoping you can help me. How can I gain access to the transcripts of the trials involved. Both the one from Douglas county and Oregon Supreme Court? Are those types of documents available to the general public? I thank you for your time and any assistance you can offer me.
